The Role
There was a really good internship structure and community with the other interns.
I liked that we were all doing separate and useful projects as opposed to 'intern work'.
There was a great team system and I had a manager as well as a personal mentor.
I had an ongoing project that lasted for the whole of my internship
I managed my own time to some extent and got to design my own program, but it was reviewed at every step.
I had no prior coding experience but I was taught python and java from scratch which will be extremely helpful for the next year of my degree.
The Company
Friendly and welcoming, if full of slightly odd software engineers.
The internship was really well structured.
I was given a lot of my mentors time and effort.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
If I decide to do software engineering I will definitely go back there.
The Culture
Yes there was a pretty good atmosphere considering they were all computer scientists.
In London so not cheap but everything was subsidised.
Enfield not a party scene
There was lots of sport and board games, sadly neither of which I'm particularly into.
