  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was very enjoyable, my supervisor was really helpful. He allowed me to do my own work at my own pace but still expected high quality

  • by my supervisor yes, by the rest of the department I felt that some members of staff were only in it for themselves/ their students.

  • a lot of support was provider by people in my office and my supervisor but these people were not necessarily in my department

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • 0830-1730 daily hours and some days were quiet but some days were busier. I was allowed to manage my own time so it depended on what I had to do

  • I was responsible for my own work nothing else.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • i can now do scientific calculations!

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • depends who was in their. Very friendly if some others left the room to go into the lab or meetings. If they returned it was very tense and very off putting. Sometimes i left the office and worked in the node.

  • well organised

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Cant really answer this. I don't know how GSK invested in me apart form providing me with a good supervisor. I'd say his personality and approach was very commendable but i don't believe he was like that due to the company

  • went into london most weekends. Not too expensive
