The Role
It was very enjoyable, my supervisor was really helpful. He allowed me to do my own work at my own pace but still expected high quality
by my supervisor yes, by the rest of the department I felt that some members of staff were only in it for themselves/ their students.
a lot of support was provider by people in my office and my supervisor but these people were not necessarily in my department
0830-1730 daily hours and some days were quiet but some days were busier. I was allowed to manage my own time so it depended on what I had to do
I was responsible for my own work nothing else.
i can now do scientific calculations!
The Company
depends who was in their. Very friendly if some others left the room to go into the lab or meetings. If they returned it was very tense and very off putting. Sometimes i left the office and worked in the node.
well organised
Cant really answer this. I don't know how GSK invested in me apart form providing me with a good supervisor. I'd say his personality and approach was very commendable but i don't believe he was like that due to the company
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I won't be working for GSK
