The Role
Althought I felt uncertain at the beginning, by the end I was thriving and really enjoying, and appreciating the impact of, my role.
I was so sad to leave at the end of summer. My team were some of the best people I have ever met-they made be laugh and smile everyday and we had a great time out of the office as well. The other interns were all amazing, some of them have become my very close friends and we all had a great time together comparing stories and appreciating all that London had to offer.
There was a strong system in place for feedback so support and guidance were always on hand if you weren't sure of anything.
Some days were very quiet, especially at the beginning, but the team soon learnt to trust me and gave me as much responsibility as I wanted. There was a lot of scope for taking on extra work if wanted.
I was the global lead in my area and responsible for ensuring its success.
The internship has most of all given be a huge amount of confidence which I will be taking onto my final year at University. Everyday specific skills will not be applicable as I am studying a humanities subject but my general perspective and awareness of the world of business will help my general outlook and extra-curricular efforts no end. I am confident that my time at Accenture will assist in all my career endeavours in the future.
The Company
Interaction with the client was constant so there was always something going on.
Everything was very structured. The Internship set up of having socials for all the interns every week kept everyone feeling very involved, wherever their project was based.
Online training was available, as well as feedback being readily available whenever requested. The first week consisted of IT training, a real-life business problem solving exercise and other various activities to train us.

I am delighted to be joining the company when I leave university (on the condition of a 2:1!).
The Culture
There were weekly events organised by HR and the interns often organised mid-week events and weekend parties in addition to these. The interns were a very close group and we all made firm friends.
I worked in Central London and on the client site. The food and various products were very cheap at the client site but Central London obviously had the London pricetags. I live and study in London anyway so this was normal for me.
It's London.
There wasn't time to get involved in any clubs etc. because of the nature of the project but there were plenty of socials which I attended with my team.
