    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed the internship due to the welcoming atmosphere, helpful colleagues and broad range of work.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Colleagues were invariably friendly, supportive and generous with their time but the nature of the work did not always facilitate them 'valuing' me, as such.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was brilliant throughout, providing above and beyond the necessary support.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Varied but I was certainly never bored because of the ability to shape one's own internship programme. On average, I worked 8:30-6:30

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given responsibility for a number of tasks but many of these were not significant enough to rate this particularly highly.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Mostly inapplicable to my degree in Philosophy but many of the skills, particularly relationship skills, will be incredibly useful for my career.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everybody was exceptionally warm, friendly and approachable but the social scene didn't appear to be amazing.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Overall, very well organised although I would encourage a more rigid structure to ensure greater consistency of experience for the group of interns.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Provide plenty of opportunities

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • 5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Fantastic group of interns and worked very well together. We could have done more on the social front!

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive - to be expected in central London though

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Perhaps as full-time employees but not encouraged as interns

    2/5
