The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the internship due to the welcoming atmosphere, helpful colleagues and broad range of work.
Colleagues were invariably friendly, supportive and generous with their time but the nature of the work did not always facilitate them 'valuing' me, as such.
My manager was brilliant throughout, providing above and beyond the necessary support.
Varied but I was certainly never bored because of the ability to shape one's own internship programme. On average, I worked 8:30-6:30
I was given responsibility for a number of tasks but many of these were not significant enough to rate this particularly highly.
Mostly inapplicable to my degree in Philosophy but many of the skills, particularly relationship skills, will be incredibly useful for my career.
The Company
Everybody was exceptionally warm, friendly and approachable but the social scene didn't appear to be amazing.
Overall, very well organised although I would encourage a more rigid structure to ensure greater consistency of experience for the group of interns.
Provide plenty of opportunities
Subsidised Canteen
The Culture
Fantastic group of interns and worked very well together. We could have done more on the social front!
Expensive - to be expected in central London though
Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby
Perhaps as full-time employees but not encouraged as interns
