The Role
I loved my placement at GSK for all the responsibility and ownership given to me.
I really felt like a member of the team at GSK, whether that was in my immediate brand team or from the wider business. They valued and appreciated my contributions.
I had regular 1-2-1's to manage my work and the managers expectations of me.
Days would vary depending on upcoming projects but there was always admin to be getting on with if the day was quiet.
Huge amount of responsibility was given to me as I showed myself to be independent and trustworthy.
The skills I developed will help me enormously, teaching me to focus on my degree and know what prospects I have once I complete my degree. I think having such a great placement on my CV will put me in good stead for the future.
The Company
Tense at sometimes as we had many restructures and job losses but overall it was a fun environment.
Very well organised and supported by full time employees as GSK have many placement students.
Not as much as I would have liked, but I understand we are only available for a year so can't expect to go on all the courses.

Wonderful, I have been offered a role as a sales executive. I can return to the company next year once I graduate!
The Culture
Amazing social scene as you are all in the same boat and encouraged to follow a very enjoyable work culture.
Quite expensive but GSK often organised events for us that included everything.
CENTRAL LONDON???!? It was buzzing!
Yes many people got involved in sports teams and other clubs. We had many outside events that were ran by the business on weekends.
