The Role
I enjoyed being in a working environment.
I felt that they valued me.
I was given support however at times I felt as though I was out of the loop - as in I didn't know what work I would be doing etc.
There were times when I was a little bored - I would have preferred to have too much to do, rather than not enough.
I wasn't given a lot of responsibility.
I gained general skills and some specific to using certain programs however this was very basic.
The Company
The atmosphere was nice and friendly and everyone was nice.
It was not that well organised. they knew I was coming so could have had something for me to work on already prepared.
No specific training was given to my knowledge!
Company Parties/Events
I think having done a placement may stand you in good stead, however there are no guarantees and there were lots of other placement students.
The Culture
Great atmosphere amongst other placement students especially
Cost of living was high!
Did not really experience much night life except for the local pub after work.
There were a couple of events organised during my time there.
