    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I enjoyed being in a working environment.

    • I felt that they valued me.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • I was given support however at times I felt as though I was out of the loop - as in I didn't know what work I would be doing etc.

    • There were times when I was a little bored - I would have preferred to have too much to do, rather than not enough.

    • I wasn't given a lot of responsibility.

    • I gained general skills and some specific to using certain programs however this was very basic.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The atmosphere was nice and friendly and everyone was nice.

    • It was not that well organised. they knew I was coming so could have had something for me to work on already prepared.

    • No specific training was given to my knowledge!

    • I think having done a placement may stand you in good stead, however there are no guarantees and there were lots of other placement students.

    • Great atmosphere amongst other placement students especially

    • Cost of living was high!

    • Did not really experience much night life except for the local pub after work.

    • There were a couple of events organised during my time there.
