The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year; I was given a great amount of responsibility and lots of support from the team. I worked on some really interesting projects and was able to work with lots of people across the business which was invaluable experience.
My team were extremely supportive and really valued my input during my placement. I really learnt the importance of working in a team but also working on an individual basis.
My manager gave me many opportunities to work on lots of exciting projects so I feel very lucky to have had that experience. These opportunities allowed me to develop a vast amount throughout the year and I had great fun doing it.
At times I was extremely busy and my working capacity was at maximum level, but most of the time I had a perfect balance. There was always great team support if I was ever too busy.
I was given a good amount of responsibility. I some fantastic opportunity to project manage but always had the support and guidance of my manager and others.
After finishing my placement I feel I have so many soft skills that can be applied to anything in the future. My team and manager invested so much training and development in me so I feel I am very equipped for future jobs!
The Company
Very positive! I worked in a very busy fast paced department which made it full of energy and excitement.
Pretty well. Although, I didn't have a brilliant experience with the recruitment agency who set up the placement.
A great deal! I attended both formal training courses, online courses and in house training. This was a brilliant combination.

It's an extremely competitive company so I'm not sure of future prospects. I am definitely attracted to applying or working there again!
The Culture
Yes there was a formal network for all placement students which was fantastic. I also lived with other placement students which made it much easier to get to know others. Throughout the year we organised tonnes of social events including a Christmas ball and Summer boat party which was amazing. I certainly have made some friends for life!
Living costs were not too bad considering the location in Greater London. Socialising and eating out was very costly but it's something we got used to!
Not a brilliant night life in the local area, however we were only 30 minutes from central London which was perfect!
Yes definitely. Lots of opportunity to join extra activities out side of work. I also had endless opportunity to attend corporate events which was terrific!
