The Role
Very bored, with not enough work
The Company
Met many different people in the office, everyone was very welcoming and there was a good atmosphere
No real induction, no training, lack of communication from the HR team responsible for the programme before and during the placement
No formal training, tasks given did not require any new skills
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
The current graduate schemes are incorrectly described, for example the general management description states things about relationship management but is in fact solely based in CB delivery
The Culture
Although the company did not facilitate any social meetings or networking for interns aside from the first introduction event and close event there was a good atmosphere between interns, and everyone supported each other, particularly during the charity challenge
London is expensive but as I already lived there it was no different
London has really good nightlife although can be expensive
There were not any activities organised for us, but unlike at other banks the hours were strictly 9-5 which meant there was plenty of time to do other things outside of work
