The Role
Really enjoyed it, good atmosphere due to large number of interns. Flexible hours, so you get flexibility over your own work hours. Got given a real project, which will be useful to the company when I leave.
I felt like a part of the team and could ask anyone for help. Got given a mentor and a manager, but the whole team were helpful and supportive.
My mentor spent a lot of time helping me when I needed it; if he wasn't around, my team was prepared to give me a hand.
Working all day for at least 8 hours. Flexible hours, so could choose when. Wasn't overly intense, but always stuff to be getting on with.
I had my own project, so nobody was depending on me. However, I was completely in charge of my project, so quite a lot of responsibility.
I think the time management I've learn will help me when it comes to revision. Also having learnt when to ask for help and how to get help will be useful in my studies.
The Company
Quite relaxed atmosphere, so could chat when you wanted to, but also hard working, as everyone works hard.
Very well organised and we were looked after extremely well. Events were organised a couple of times throughout the internship, which brought us interns together.
There was an effective communications course, which was helpful, but other than that, not much training other than what your mentor/manager told you about their department.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing; they invite interns back again. Have had a good time, so would consider it.
The Culture
30 odd interns in the Enfield office, so plenty of socialisation; usually at least one event a week.
Company house made accommodation very cheap. It's not quite in London, so pubs are slightly cheaper than in the center.
Don't really know, a few decent pubs.
Plenty of sports and societies organised by the company.
