The Role
The work was challenging and the people were friendly.
I was given a task which was important and my contribution was valued by all of my colleagues.
I was given support and guidance every day of my internship, your manager is always there to help!
I was very busy each day, as well as being assigned a project you are encouraged to work to deadlines and meet expectations just as every other employee is expected to.
As soon as I was up to speed with my project brief, I was given full responsibility for its completion.
I think that the skills I have learnt will help me a lot when I hopefully start a career in Software Development. Plus, having to work to deadlines and manage my time affectively I have gained a good life skill.
The Company
The atmosphere is friendly and lively.
it was very well organised, Metaswitch his very used to taking on interns so the placement is very well structured and planned.
The company makes a large investment in giving you a manager and mentor, as an intern I was able to take as much of their time as I needed in order to learn and progress.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
the prospects are good. Metaswitch provide a good base salary and the work is very interesting and engaging,
The Culture
Very good, each week the inters would meet for drinks and meals.
Cheap, the company house this year was only 9 pounds a night and there are plenty of cheap bars around the local area.
No idea, just went into London for nightlife.
yes, there are loads of sports and social clubs run by Metaswitch employees
