The Role
Really enjoyed the work I was given. Put into a very interesting business area so it meant I was always doing different things.
Really easy to get on with the people in my team
People in team regularly checked up with me if I was OK with the programme and if I needed help.
Yes, always something new happening that I could get involved in
Given some important tasks to do. Was pleasently surprised with the responsibility I was given.
Got a real insight into working in an environment like this.
The Company
Really easy going. As along as you were metting deadlines/targets everything seemed good.
This is something Santander failed on. They used a third party/Hayes to sort this out and they weren't the easiest to deal with. I believe Santander now know of this and changes have been made for the future interns
Got guidance whenever I asked
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I am interested in employment prospects with Santander. Feel they are starting to focus more on Graduates with recent changes.
The Culture
Pretty poor. Something else Hays/the recruiter failed to sort out. We (the interns) personally had to find out who the other interns were.
Not the chepaeat place to stay.
It was good.
There are company event every few weeks.
