The Role
The company with all its people is just amazing! I just didn't enjoy my work that much
Everybody is really approachable and you are getting integrated very quickly
You can go to your mentor every time - they will have time for you!
I didn't have too many different tasks, but every day passed by pretty quickly
I had a lot exposure to clients, so big responsibility in that sense.
Regarding financial markets I already knew most of the things we were taught about. I could improve my skills within navigating and understanding the Bloomberg Terminal.
The Company
Its an open office and its never quiet. As you are sitting right next to your colleagues it can get really fun very fast
You have many trainings and sessions. But to make the most out of it you must be the driver. EVERYBODY at Bloomberg is more than happy to help or advice you - even if he or she is Head of a Department
We had loads of training sessions with specialists of different fields.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
At the stage of my career I want to see more (working in a big bank for example) - I cannot answer this...
The Culture
You are making friends very quickly - within 10 weeks I met so many interesting and open people and also found really good friends. I am sure, that we will keep contact!
Super expensive - thank god the company pays interns very well
Many pubs around the company - to Shoreditch you walk 15 minutes
Be your own chairman - involve yourself or organise events! Most of the interns were from abroad so everybody is thankful if you are organising something
