About You
The insight at Taylor Wessing has been the best internship I have had to date. I enjoyed the firm's 'informal but professional' culture, allowing me to see how a global law firm and its employees operate within the legal sector.
I felt very valued at the firm, as I had meetings with very senior partners, associates and various other professionals. Everyone was impressed with me at the firm, and I felt everyone was very approachable.
I have no complaints and received more than enough guidance and support whilst at Taylor Wessing.
The information I had received was extremely useful, and will assist me making my university choices, and applying for training contracts and vacation schemes in the near future.
The Company
The insight was structured very well, allowing us to get a good overview of life at the firm, in the legal industry and the 'world of work' in general. The second weeks placement with the clients was excellent.
The atmosphere at the firm and its surroundings were great and I felt comfortable throughout.
The firm had helped to target areas of improvement for me, allowing me to set targets to reach my maximum academic potential.
I had various meetings whilst at Taylor Wessing, and everyone was extremely useful about their day to day life at the firm and what to expect do you choose to work at a firm with a similar culture within the role of a solicitor.
The insight had helped me to understand the company culture which I believe to be 'informal but professional'. Everyone is friendly, sociable and approachable, whilst each being experts within the field.
The internship in Business Development had helped me with future planning, in terms of reaffirming my intention to study straight law at University- Although it is still important to have a commercial perspective.
Everything Else
I was paid travel expenses for the two weeks.
There was plenty from various meetings, and the networking lunch.
They were great and exceeded expectations.
Yes, such as sports events and Pro Bono work.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in studying law, particularly those considering a career at a global law firm.
