The Role
I very much enjoyed the internship. I was split into different rotations, which allowed us to explore different areas within markets.
Very much depends on the desks you sat on. Some people felt very valued where as others felt less valued which was purely down to their manager.
Everyone was more than happy to answer all questions. Again, completely depends on the manager you were assigned.
Very busy. Anytime that I was not busy, I was encouraged to go and speak to different people on the floor.
Not much, however, this was expected as we are not qualified to trade/speak to clients.
Not only will the generally knowledge of the market help me going forward, but also all the networking skills.
The Company
Fun and friendly, but as long as all of your assigned work was done.
Well organised. The internship was split into various rotations. There were also a variety of events organised but HR like sports day and fundraising events.
A lot of time and money was invested into the internship.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I got offered a grad scheme for next year along with 2/3 of the interns who worked in sales and trading.
The Culture
Yes. We often went out for dinner/drinks after work. I intend to keep in touch with them.
Quite costly, as expected. However, the salary more that covers the costs.
Plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area.
Not that I was aware of.
