The Role
I enjoyed the high level of independent work as well as the team work.
My colleagues made it really easy to get settled in the team and treated me like a full team member and not "just" as an intern.
My supervisor/management was always available to give support and guidance when needed.
The workload was rather high but that was mainly because I took a personal interest in the project outcome.
I was given a lot of responsibility but never more than I wanted to take.
I did get a very thorough understanding of how different businesses in Rolls-Royce work and learned to appreciate the big picture more.
The Company
The atmosphere was always very pleasant.
The placement itself was set up well but I received very little guidance from HR when it came to setting up a bank account and getting a National Insurance Number.
I was allowed to attend several training courses in addition to the online based ones.
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Rolls-Royce will play an essential role in my further university studies (working student placement, diploma thesis) and I am hoping that I attain a permanent position after graduating.
The Culture
There was some sort of regularly social gathering but the type did not appeal to me.
Not overly expensive.
Non existent if one would like to find something else than pubs.
The Company Sports Club provided opportunities to get to know other Rolls-Royce employees outside my department.
