The Role
Varied and challenging workloads made the Internship feel exiting and worthwhile.
Colleagues were polite and made me feel like a valuable part of the team.
My supervisor regularly had one to ones with me and ensured I was getting everything I personally could out of the internship. Management were easy to approach.
Most days were filled with tasks, where I had to manage time effectively.
Ownership of reports and analyses which were presented to company directors.
Varied tasks and contact with different teams/areas provided a platform to develop exiting personal skills, which I would be able to utilise in any future capacity.
The Company
Atmosphere was good, although sometimes felt quiet because everyone was busy with their own workloads.
My teams demands for me were very organised, but the organisation of the HR department in the run up, and including the first few weeks, was a bit disappointing. For example, I only discovered my location a week 6 days before I started, and I had to resend ID documents.
Visits to other areas welcomed to develop own exposure to banks operations. Clear to see bank invests in employees futures.

Lots of opportunities available if I were to join the graduate scheme.
The Culture
I didn't get much exposure to other interns compared to others on the scheme, and would have appreciated day to day contact.
I commuted on a daily basis, but the local area was cheap.
Local area was good for a drink.
Not really, although we organised a couple of meals and went for a work drinks social.
