The Role
I loved coming into work everyday as the people there were very positive and the work they gave me kept me interested and busy. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
My colleagues always helped me when I asked and were very helpful in every way. I always felt as if I could talk to them at any point. I really loved talking to them about problems that needed to be solved because they always listened carefully to what I had to say.
My manager always took the time out of his day to talk and help me out with something - whether it be a work related problem or a personal problem. I appreciated this a lot. The fact that I could approach them with any problem helped me greatly.
I asked for more work than I was given so I was sufficiently busy on a daily basis for my standards. There wasn't very much time during the internship that I wasn't doing interesting work.
I was given as much responsibility my manager though I could handle, being able to do the same work my colleagues which I felt really helped cement me as more of a full time employee than an intern.
Throughout the entirety of my placement, I could feel myself improving my confidence and technical skills - both of which will help me in the future greatly. Not much more to say here!
The Company
Occasionally serious, but it usually felt calming and nice to work in, especially with my friendly colleagues. I felt that I could move around the office quite freely which was nice.
It was fairly well organised, the events and presentations I had to attend were set up well in advance, leaving nothing for me to worry about which was definitely a highlight.
There were four days of training during the placement. Two at the start and two nearer the middle of the internship. They helped me meet the other interns on the job as well as teach me various useful skills.

Company Parties/Events
I accepted an offer to join the company next year.
The Culture
Yes. There were lots of opportunities for the interns to get to know each other, particularly on the training days where we were all together. I met quite a few great people on this internship!
Not too expensive, but not that cheap either. Some restaurants were exceptionally expensive, while some others were cheap and well worth the money. The cost of socializing at clubs in the area were also a reasonable price.
I recall seeing some clubs near my workplace, even though I didn't go into any, they seemed like nice places to go for a night out. I mostly went to pubs with a few of my friends - these were pretty good.
As many of the interns were chess enthusiasts, we set up a out of work tournament. We all met at my apartment and played intense games of chess every week - something a bit different! Also, the company set up a few social events for the interns for some casual socializing.
