The Role
It was pretty relaxed and enjoyable, the work wasn't too gratifying but I did learn a lot.
I was working on a solo project so I didn't really have much teamwork but everyone is friendly.
They helped whenever I needed it, no problems at all.
It was pretty relaxed so there were days where I didn't have much to do but generally the task I was given kept me busy.
Not much, I was just tasked with generating some documents which I guess will be used in the deliverables but, again, it was pretty relaxed.
I learnt a hell of a lot about using command line and loads about different languages and how real work goes down so I'd say it was really good for developing skills.
The Company
Pretty quiet, not much going on (although I don't mind that at all).
Quite well, it took a few days to get on my feet but the whole thing was pretty smooth.
Not much, I had a manager who taught me a lot but I didn't have any official training or anything.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I think they have openings and I'm hopeful to continue with them.
The Culture
It was alright but nothing like uni, although maybe that's a bad comparison.
Living prices are quite expensive, but none of the uni students are there so there's not that much going on.
I don't know much about it.
I think cambridge is quiet and touristy over summer so I didn't get up to much.
