The Role
I really enjoyed the variety of work, going out to client sites and the friendly office environment.
Everyone was friendly and there were lots of social activities to join in with.
My manager and mentor both helped me in terms of making sure I got a wide variety of experience, both work and social.
Never felt too overloaded with work - some days it was a bit quiet in the office but usually there was a good balance.
The Company
Really friendly and lots going on.
Really well organised because they made sure we all got a wide variety of experience and got a glimpse of what working at KPMG would really be like.
We had a good induction at the beginning and also got to experience things like Community & Social Responsibility days.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Got the offer of a graduate job after completing an interview at the end of my placement.
The Culture
Birmingham is really cheap - it was cheaper for me to rent a room in Birmingham and get the train into work every day than it would have been for me to live at home and get the train into London every day!
Nightlife was fun and quite affordable although I would have preferred a wider variety of music to be on offer.
Lots of sports clubs and we often had team socials/department activity days etc.
