The Role
Fantastic insight into the work and culture of the bank.
I felt as though the work was of value to the team which was a fantastic experience in terms of accountability and responsibility.
Manager was keen to support me throughout the internship with regular meetings and feedback sessions.
Team were keen to give me as much exposure to different work elements and so day to day was very busy but also incredibly varied.
The work was important to the team from an internal and external perspective.
Amazing development on a professional level including communication and leadership. Further skills included programming and software usage.
The Company
Teammates were friendly and receptive to queries and problems. There were plenty of social events to get to know people outside the office as well which helped build relations within the office.
The programme was very well structured. Weekly emails and regular calendar updates helped ensure that important events were clear and conveniently arranged.
A huge amount of investment was made - as interns we had access to all internal training both online and in the classroom. I was able to attend several of these during my time which really enriched my experience.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Healthcare/Dental
Given my experiences over the 10 weeks it would be a hugely rewarding place to work.
The Culture
Regular social events with interns and team members to help build relationships outside the office. I have a network of people I will definitely be keeping in touch with
For London, the area around Canary Wharf is very acceptable. Accommodation is more expensive.
Great nightlife!
Responsibility days, sporting events and regular sports held at lunchtimes meant there was a huge amount to do.
