  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my year at GSK it taught me a lot of skills as well as providing challenges and lots of great opportunities.

  • My work was extremely important to the team and they made me feel the same value as everyone else and not just a student.

  • I was encouraged to take responsibility and lead my own projects.

  • It taught me so much about what working in industry is like and the daily tasks and challenges that can be faced. Using these skills for the future are invaluable!

  • Due to changes in the department it was varied but on the whole everyone was extremely friendly and upbeat.

  • Very well as the programme had been going for a good few years.

  • I was given the opportunity to attend a variety of conferences, develop skills on training etc.

  • Not great as the nutrition team are moving out to singapore so it is looking unlikely to return to the same team

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were 13 students in our department meaning we did lots of social events and there was IP unite which involved the whole of GSK interns

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • fairly expensive as it is London!

  • So much choice with London

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Lots of volunteering, social events and a variety of activities including sports teams, gyms etc.
