The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my year at GSK it taught me a lot of skills as well as providing challenges and lots of great opportunities.
My work was extremely important to the team and they made me feel the same value as everyone else and not just a student.
I was encouraged to take responsibility and lead my own projects.
It taught me so much about what working in industry is like and the daily tasks and challenges that can be faced. Using these skills for the future are invaluable!
The Company
Due to changes in the department it was varied but on the whole everyone was extremely friendly and upbeat.
Very well as the programme had been going for a good few years.
I was given the opportunity to attend a variety of conferences, develop skills on training etc.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Not great as the nutrition team are moving out to singapore so it is looking unlikely to return to the same team
The Culture
There were 13 students in our department meaning we did lots of social events and there was IP unite which involved the whole of GSK interns
fairly expensive as it is London!
So much choice with London
Lots of volunteering, social events and a variety of activities including sports teams, gyms etc.
