The Role
I loved my placement at PwC. My role was extremely varied, I got to try so many new things which helped me develop and learn more.
I felt like part of the team, I got on really well with my colleagues and we got to know each other really well.
My manager was completely supportive of me, we spoke every day and had 'people manager catch ups' each month to make sure everything was going well. I felt I go to to her with any problems or concerns.
A lot of the time, work was very busy and I often felt there was too much to do and too little time but I enjoy being busy and work well when I have deadlines so I was quite happy to be busy.
Very early on, I was doing things which were beyond my role, as we were a member of the team down. I was happy to do this and enjoy being challenged.
I built up a lot of soft skills during my placement and feel they will be invaluable in future life.
The Company
It depends on which area of the business you were went to but mine was always quite fun, we had a chat and all got on well although there was a lot to do.
PwC are very experienced in having placement students so there were no problems.
PwC are great at training and developing their staff. I went to lots of sessions and have trained in various different things.

I have a job with PwC when I graduate and I can't wait to start.
The Culture
There was a great social scene. I went out with my colleagues and there was a monthly office social.
I lived at home so saved costs on rent but travel was expensive.
I worked in Birmingham which is a big city so the nightlife was good, there was plenty to do.
We do a lot of community work as well as sports and social clubs.
