The Role
I enjoy the whole year and I really like every aspect of working in the Treasury - the flexible working hour, the colleagues, the work I had done, everything.
My colleagues were really nice to me and I do feel they valued myself and my view on different issues.
I had the perfect line manager and we still have a good relationship. He gave me support on and off work.
Occassionally I didn't have much to do but most of the time the balance is good.
I was given important work that were used by senior people.
The whole year has certainly helped my development as in economist.
The Company
My colleagues are really interesting people and I love lunching and going to pub after work with them.
I think it was really well organised and - students are supported and valued in the Treasury
I learnt a lot about how Treasury and Government runs and I also received training on economics.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
That's a good experience and I would recommend getting a job with the Treasury.
The Culture
Yes students did a lot of things together - lunch, pub, night out, movie etc.
Everything in London is expensive...but there are a few sandwich shops which are good and cheap around the Treasury.
Within walking distances you can find a loads of bars and clubs.
There are a lot of different socials and there are plenty of sport activities I could join.
