About You
I very much enjoyed it. I got stuck in immediately; the work set kept me very busy The three weeks flew by.
I felt very valued at Deloitte. I definitely knew the work that I had done mattered. The work I was given was not a futile task. The work I had done was very much involved in what needed to be done. So as I was given a lot of responsibility, I felt very valued.
Although the managers were busy, there was always a senior associate ready to help me.
The skills I developed will definitely help me with future auditing jobs. I'd say my excel skills have also increased.
The Company
It was very well structured. The first day was like a meet and greet where you got to know what Deloitte was about. There was also an IT induction. The second day consisted of (audit) training. For instance we were taught how to use EMS. From then on, we were equipped to go on client site.
The atmosphere depends on the team you're working with. I luckily, was working with a tight group who had a laugh but also worked very hard. I also worked at the office, which had a more focused yet relaxed atmosphere to it.
As I've mentioned there was always a senior associate on the team ready to help me. Furthermore, we were given buddies. You could ask your buddy for any advice. Having a buddy demonstrates they were invested in us and our development.
I definitely felt like a part of the team. I'd leave sometimes at the same times as the team I worked for. The work I did was significant, so it gave me a real flavour of what it would be like to work full time at Deloitte.
Working at the office you could see the atmosphere. There was friendly chatter and people seemed to know everyone. At the same time everyone was hard at work. So there was an optimal atmosphere there.
It was definitely helpful. As I've mentioned I felt like the work was significant so the I knew what the future would hold. Also as you were part of a team, you could see what the others like the assistant manager, the senior associates were doing. So you could see what you could potentially be doing.
Everything Else
I was paid.
The networking and social events were fun. There was a networking opportunity at a bar and a social at Café Rouge. It was a great opportunity to catch up with the other interns.

The senior associates were friendly, so you could ask them about activities.
