The Role
Really great insight into the company and the role - given a good level of responsibility right from the start and everyone I spoke to was approachable and happy to spare 5 minutes to chat - at all grades!
Given a good amount of responsibility, and employees were happy to talk to me about their experiences without making me feel like they didnt have time to spare. Deloitte has a very welcoming atmosphere and everyone is very friendly.
Good support system in place, i was given a Buddy who was a 1st year analyst who I could talk to about informal matters, and we also had a 'Champion' over the whole team for more formal matters.
It differed from week to week, but I rarely found myself with nothing to do and could usually ask for more work. The amount of work increased as the placement went on.
Again, it differed. One piece of work I did was sent directly to other employees whereas client work was checked and edited first, but I did quite a lot of first drafts of work. It would have been good to get some client interaction.
I developed skills in presentation and using programmes such as powerpoint and excel, as well as multitasking and time management skills - but I wouldn't say I learnt much academically.
The Company
Friendly, professional but also relaxed. Most people were approachable if i had any issues or questions.
My project team was fairly well organised, although information from HR was fairly limited.
I was given fair amounts of responsibility and employees took time out of their day to teach me how the programme worked although I didnt receive much specific training, except for IT training.

Very, I would really like to work for this company and I was offered lots of help and advice from employees regarding future interviews/opportunities.
The Culture
We had weekly socials although some students were on placement in other locations so it was difficult to see everyone, but generally we kept close contact.
Central London - expensive to live! But plenty of bars and restaurants to socialise in
I didnt experience it too much but when I did it was very good and busy, with mainly young professionals going for drinks after work
Few, I know there are lots of sports clubs and societies available but i didnt know how to explore these.
