The Role
I enjoyed my internship and felt that it provided a genuine insight into the daily operations of my department. The programme was well structured and interns were given real work to help out with. This provided a valuable learning experience for me.
My colleagues were really friendly and helpful. They took time to show me the ropes and helped eased me into my new surroundings. They also organised socials to help us get to know more people. I was also invited to the weekly football sessions.
The support given by my buddy and supervisor was top notch. They were attentive to changes in my situation and sought to ensure that I had the best experience while i was at Deloitte.
I was placed on 5 projects in 6 weeks and i felt that i managed to learn a lot from the 5 projects. I felt that the less time spent in the office, the more learning i got to experience.
I was given real tasks to complete during my internship. I helped out on some projects without supervision which really showed the extent of trust that my team placed in me and i am really grateful for the opportunity to learn.
I am confident that the skills that i learnt during my internship will definitely aid me in the course of my studies and in my professional career. Valuable skills like communication, teamwork and leadership are easily transferable and applicable in all settings.
The Company
It was serious and professional when work needs to be completed. There was always time for fun and banter on between the serious stuff.
The programme was well designed and a lot of attention was given to ensure that i had the most productive time while i was there. I am grateful for the invaluable help that my supervisor gave in organising my activities.
We were given training during our induction and i underwent online learning as well.

Company Parties/Events
All interns are given an opportunity to have a final interview to convert our internship to a job with Deloitte.
The Culture
Socials were organised for the interns and we were invited to the socials which our colleagues usually have themselves.
Manchester is not an expensive city and the cost of socialising was not exorbitant.
The nightlife was interesting and there were many drinking holes to go to.
I felt that there was sufficient opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work.
