About You
I really enjoyed the insight week, it provided me with great knowledge about the bank and its functions, as well as having numerous chances to network with the employees and find out about their experiences.
The employees at Bank of America Merrill Lynch were very approachable and friendly, they were keen to find out more about you and your experiences which made me feel like I mattered to them and that they were genuinely interested in me.
The HR team were always on hand to answer any questions we had and provide information of what we would be doing during the week.
The innovation skills and presentation skills will definitely help me during the rest of my degree studies. The information I received has too given me enough knowledge to decide this is definitely a corporation I could see myself working for.
The Company
Very well, we each had a booklet with lots of information in, a timetable of the weeks events, as well as numerous maps and contact information. We had a variety of activities each day, we weren't just doing the same thing each day which was great.
It was great, I have made friends which I hope to stay in contact with.
They helped me to work on my weaknesses and improve them, giving me advice and knowledge of how to do so.
The insight week significantly helped me to understand the workings of the bank and the dynamics of how it runs. I understand more about the specific divisions within the bank and how each one has their own role, but also how they all work together to achieve the same objective. I understand the working environment at the bank and how I could fit into this.
Before the insight week I did not know much about the company's culture, but now I feel I understand Bank of America Merrill Lynch and it's diverse culture to a greater extent.
I learnt about divisions I did not know much about before, one of which I have now chosen to pursue for my internship application. The information was in great detail whilst being a good summary at the same time.
Everything Else
I have been sent a form to send off so that I can be reimbursed my expenses.
There were numerous chances to network with other employees, infact most days we did this, if not every day.
They were great, everybody was easy to approach and I learnt a lot of valuable information.
We found out about all the different networks within the firm, such as the disability network and the LGBT network, as well as others. We found out about different charity events that the firm held outside of work.
Most definitely, it was an invaluable experience!
