About You
Very much. It provided great audit experience and the team I worked with instilled a superb atmosphere.
I was never asked to make coffee or run errands. There was always work to do and although bits of it were administrative, I got to do many jobs on an audit that would be performed by 1st or 2nd year associates
I was very impressed by the support I received. I got two half an hour feedback sessions from managers even though I was only there for 3 weeks. This was extremely useful for applying for the graduate job and for my professional development.
The skills I developed will be useful for my degree. However I believe they will prove invaluable in the first few years of work after graduating.
The Company
I loved getting some first hand experience of audit with client time straight from the off. I was given a crash course in audit and Deloitte's values which stood me in good stead for the 3 weeks there.
Fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The professional culture and the network for career support really impressed me.
Very much so. I was given 2 half an hour feedback sessions from managers and was always filled in on the wider process of an audit.
It gave me a good feel for a graduate position and incentivised me to work at Deloitte.
A lot. We were given a 2 hour presentation about Deloitte's culture but the high standards were very evident in the standard of work and the team ethic whilst working on an engagement
It solidified my opinion that it was the right career for me.
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed expenses
Yes leaving drinks and a meal out were one of the highlights of my month there.
Very useful. Everyone was really interested in speaking to everyone, even the interns.
Yes, the wide range of extra activities and societies outside of work is one of the reasons that Deloitte was so appealing to me.
Definitely. It was informative, gave me real experience and most of all it was very enjoyable.
