About You
Being involved in actual on going audit work made you feel very valued as you were really helping out.
Always given instruction on how to carry out a task and always someone there to ask any follow up questions to.
Have a clearer understanding of the day to day tasks involved in an audit and the processes that have to be completed.
The Company
Felt like there could have been more of a plan as some days it was unclear what they had for us to do and we would just have to do online training or ask around the office for tasks.
There was a real friendly atmosphere in and out of the office as everyone was very friendly and there to help. We had group lunches, dinners and socials all of which were really fun.
Training and development was mainly through the day to day tasks and experiences we had and also we were given access to online training courses. Our day to day was one on one with whoever you were working with so was really helpful.
Gave a real insight, however it was just a short period of time.
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed expenses
There were a few socials organised and as the Edinburgh fringe was on we had the chance to go to comedy shows and other events throughout the internship. We also went to lunches and dinners with different departments and different offices.
