The Role
Exciting and client facing as I got to work with three different clients throughout my internship. Learnt a lot throughout the internship working with different colleagues and in different teams.
Had the opportunity to go to a few socials were you can get to know your team in a more relaxed environment. Everyone was nice and helpful and was able to get along with everyone easily!
You are given the same responsibility as a graduate. Managers were good at explaining tasks knowing that I have limited knowledge as an Auditor and were happy to answer as many questions as needed for me to get on with my task.
There is more than enough work an intern can be doing and you are kept fairly busy throughout the working day.
You are given the same responsibility as a graduate, given tasks where you are able to get a better understanding of the auditing process. I was able to go speak to the client on my own without needing to go with a member of my team and carry out tasks without the need of constant supervision.
Communication skills improved dramatically being in a client facing environment. After completing the internship I now have a much better understanding what an Auditor does and the skills required in order to be successful.
The Company
Worked at different client sites for each week of the internship. Office atmosphere was fun as everyone was welcoming and sociable.
Very well organised. After the welcome event over the weekend the first day was an induction day where you received your laptop, completed audit training programmes and I.T training. The next day I was on client site starting work as an intern.
Major investment into it's talent. Senior collegues make the effort in explaining tasks to you thoroughly to ensure that you know why they are done etc.
Company Parties/Events
Hoping to secure a graduate position. You are fast tracked to a partner interview after your internship.
The Culture
Yes, many socials for you to attend and everyone got on well with each other.
Lived at home. Socials are usually paid for by senior employees.
Worked in different locations every week. For week one I was near Leicester Square, plenty of bars/clubs to go to on a friday evening.
Yes, got emails about activities. eg. charity runs etc
