About You
I really enjoyed it - the three weeks flew by!
Everyone I worked with was really helpful and friendly, giving me challenging work akin to what I would experience as a graduate.
All my questions were answered with all my colleagues being really understanding of my position. There were also a number of different contacts for me to seek should I have had any problems/queries.
Massively - just being in a real work environment for 3 weeks was a chance to improve various key skills, including time management, work prioritization, and research and presentation skills. The experience will definitely help me when I go back to university and beyond.
The Company
There was a clear programme structure, and at no point was I unsure about what I was doing next or the purpose of my current position.
Incredibly welcoming and supportive - Deloitte clearly work hard on student recruitment, and made the whole experience as close to a 'real job' as possible.
They let us know from the outset that the process was an elongated audition, with an interview at the end of it.
The work was what would be expected of a graduate, and so the three weeks we were there was the same as a full time role.
Deloitte's values and expectations were clearly laid out, allowing us to understand the true nature of the company and become part of it.
Very helpful.
Everything Else
I was very well paid.
We were working very closely with full time employees and higher up members of Deloitte - I met two partners during my time there.
We had three different social events that we all very well laid out, helping us to fit in and make new contacts and friends.
There are plenty of activities, including various charity and social events, and different sporting teams in the company such as 5-a-side football and cricket sides.
I would definitely recommend it.
