The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at BMW. I was given great responsibility and feel a great sense of achievement.
All colleagues were kind and helpful whilst working together as a team,
Management were always available to assist where necessary but I was left to my own devices on many occasions which allowed me to gain experience, confidence and knowledge about operations.
Each day was dependent on work load. But the majority of time work load was consistent.
I was given great responsibility during my placement year, superiors had a lot of trust in my ability.
I will be able to put my practise/knowledge into my studies during final year first hand whilst also assisting me with future jobs within this area.
The Company
During busier periods, colleagues were stressed and under great pressure, Although generally, there was a positive atmosphere throughout the department.
My work placement was set up efficiently and I was into my training programme after the second week.
I had ongoing training throughout my year to ensure I left with a confident insight as to how the organisation operates,
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
Extremely appealing. I now have a positive/confident approach as to how the organisation operates.
The Culture
There were other placement students within BMW which allowed you to be able to assist eachother where necessary.
I lived from home so the cost of living didn't affect me. In terms of socialising, there are plenty of places to visit.
The nightlife is excellent. There are plenty of nightclubs/bars.
I was unaway of any activities outside of work. Although the Christmas party was a lot of fun!
