    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Thoroughly enjoyed it, not only during working hours but socially as well. My team really made an effort to make sure I was enjoying it.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • Very valued, I was never given anything that didn't necessarily need to be done as soon as possible. If I had not done my work set someone else on the team would have to have taken it on. I was never made to do boring mundane jobs.

    • I was supported every step of the way. If I didn't understand something somebody was always happy to help. My buddy constantly made sure I understood what I was doing and taught me huge amounts.

    • All skills newly developed will assist me in my future because it is the career line I have chosen to go down.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Everything was set out for me before I arrived. Meetings were in my calendar on arrival and work was constantly set.

    • At times everyone sat working hard however we have fun times too - going out for lunch and going on an overnight stay.

    • The company gave me plenty of time explaining areas I needed to work on and also telling me where I was excelling.

    • I was made to feel like I had worked there for months, I was part of the team.

    • I now understand the company culture completely, I now know the hierarchy within the company.

    • I couldn't have asked for a better insight, I really enjoyed my work and have decided to pursue a career in the sector.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I was paid a great salary, couldn't not have wished for more.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • We often went out after work and I also attended an away say which meant I interacted with the whole of the tax floor not just my team.

    • Great, well organised and a lot of fun! We went dragon boat racing, out for lunch, comedy night ....

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • I asked lots of questions and got a range of answers from sports teams to trips abroad to cycling the length of the UK.

    • Absolutely, I loved my time at Deloitte and gained a lot out of it.
