The Role
I was given engaging 'real word' work that was beneficial to my development which I found challenging and enjoyable.
The development scheme I followed was well structured and I always got the feeling that colleagues were willing to help as well as listen to my opinions.
I had the opportunity to meat senior management who gave me guidance and feedback on my role. As a result of this, televant training courses were often suggested.
As I was moved around different projects, it sometimes took a little while to get up to speed. On the whole though, the work balance was very good.
I was given a greater level of responsibility than I was expecting, but also recieved support when I needed it.
I certainly gained real world skills that I can apply to bith my final year of studies and beyond. The placement year helped to hone knowledge I had picked up on my degree and outside the educational evironment.
The Company
Colleagues were generally friendly. However, the open plan layout of the offices generally meant that it was often quite.
There was a clear development scheme that was explained at the outset. I was assigned a placement manager at the beginning of the year who I could go to with any questions and who helped me to get the most out of my year.
I attended various training courses that had been assigned to me based upon coversations I had had with my managers. This meant that I got something out of the training and was able to apply it to my role.
Flexi Time

International Travel

Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
I should be able to return to the company, although will have to go through a formal assessment centre.
The Culture
Fellow students/graduates often organised nights out. Colleagues however, were less likely to organise anything and there were few nights out/socials.
Central London so very expensive.
Central London so a lot.
There were a few sports clubs but other than that not much.
