The Role
Very enjoyable - I learnt so much, and there was not even a single minute in which I have been bored. There were so many opportunities to build my skills and extend my knowledge.
Looking at the level of responsibility of the tasks I got given after some time, I felt like I am actually a permanent employee, being equally well integrated. And the atmosphere at work has been very friendly and supportive - my colleagues always helped me whenever I did require assistance or explanations.
Very good support - I never felt lost in a task, as I could always ask someone. Hints and tips from supervisor helped me to plan my tasks and adapt my work approach.
I was very busy, but that was my own choice - I was given a lot of freedom with regard to at what rate I finish my tasks. And whenever some colleague did have a task in mind for me, they did ask me about how busy I am before giving it to me. Because I could schedule the daily tasks myself, I never even got bored for one minute.
I have been given much responsibility such that I felt I am actually nearly a permanent member of staff - e.g. I was allowed to supervise my colleague's experiment while he was on holiday.
Got much knowledge about LabVIEW, which helps me in the future - it is widely used in industry. The internship also helped me in my career orientation.
The Company
Busy, hard working, nevertheless people did take breaks, had a catch up, and were very warm and friendly.
Own workspace and IT account nearly from beginning.
My supervisor set much time aside to explain different subjects to me.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I will do my best to apply if there are any future job openings within the company, as it is the ideal workplace for someone who values the opportunity to learn and is not afraid of challenges.
The Culture
