About You
I was in a wonderful team! They supported me every step of the way and tried to include me in everything they did!
I got to meet many new people, all of whom were warm and friendly. They took me to lunch with them and told me about their careers and interests.
I was guided through every process, and then allowed to practice independently!
A bit part of my degree is statistical analysis, so the new Excel skills I learned as well as new way to organize data will come handy.
The Company
From day 1 everybody knew that I was an intern and hence provided me with relatively easy work and were ready to assist me at any given point.
I had a really good time and got to make friends with whom I still keep in touch!
I think that this depends on the team. I got very lucky, so a lot of time and effort was invested into teaching me how to create reports and file forms.
I finally know that the career is right for me, because the job doesn't get boring. There are new clients and new requests every week, which makes it much more interesting and not repetitive at all.
I got to see Deloitte from within and I realized that the company is full of friendly and caring people, always applying themselves to the maximum.
It was very helpful, since 'forever is composed of nows', and you really have to enjoy the day-to-day activities to get fulfillment from the job.
Everything Else
I was paid very handsomely and also reimbursed for my expenses.
I was introduced to the partners and directors on our floor, all of whom were very nice and welcoming.
We were invited to drinks and socials, where we got the opportunity to meet people from different departments and other interns.
Yes! I was very happy to see that a lot of people in our department are friends and do a lot of things outside work together. There are football games, hiking trips, shopping afternoons etc
I did recommend it to all my friends, as I had an incredible time and learned so much on the job!
