The Role
An interesting and challenging variety of work offered in a very welcoming environment.
People in the office made me feel like my work really mattered, and I was praised when I performed well.
My buddy and champion were extremely supportive, and I felt comfortable going to them whenever I needed any guidance.
I did not always have a continuous flow of work, though that was often remedied by seeking it out actively.
I was not given inconsequential work, and I felt that I was very much trusted with things that would be presented to clients.
I am certain that many of the skills I developed, both technical and otherwise, will be extremely useful to my future career.
The Company
The office was extremely pleasant: people were very friendly, welcoming, and supportive.
Whilst the general framework of the internship was managed very well, the day to day in the office sometimes felt a bit bumpy and impromptu. The burden fell mostly on one person, my buddy, to manage my everyday tasks. The work I was allocated came from different, sometimes uncoordinated sources, meaning that the amount of work I had varied drastically. There did not seem to be an active attempt from the firm to provide a holistic and balanced experience of work in my department.
The induction provided at the beginning of the internship was very helpful, and the people in the office taught me a lot as well. The e-learning, which took what felt like a disproportionate amount of time to the short duration of the internship, was not very helpful.

Company Parties/Events
I am interested in a job with Deloitte, but will also be considering other options.
The Culture
A few social events were organised for the placement students, which were quite enjoyable. However, we were split up over numerous departments and did not find much time to interact as a group otherwise.
Quite affordable.
Decent nightlife, for a low price.
Not during the short duration of the placement, which was understandable.
