  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Great department, lots of different experiences with actual clients and given lots of client responsibilities and work similar to associates in the department.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • Very valued, was given real work and direct client contact during audits. Got to carry out real work and was responsible for various parts of audit process, both internal and external. Work was well appreciated and constantly supported.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • Everyone was always happy to answer any questions, no matter who you asked and what role they were in. Always explained things very well and thoroughly so no problems with carrying out the work but never afraid to ask questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Very much so, given an excellent insight into accounting and audit, and what is required working in such a role. Good skills picked up which will be vital for my last year of study and future work.

    • Well structured - timetable to know which team I was working with and which project I would be on throughout my time.

    • Excellent - good office atmosphere, friendly colleagues, good social activities outside work to get involved in and get to know the team, great placement would definitely recommend

    • Service line training given on first day and weekend induction to fully update us on the company and the values we need.

    • Very helpful - good indication of what a full time role will be like and experienced various aspects of some of the work could be doing

    • A lot - the values and morales of the firm are set out in all the work carried out with clients and via all induction and presentation events. The company culture was clearly evident in all the work carried out.

    • Very useful - decided that a career in accountancy is definitely for me.

    • Paid well.

    • Yes - various opportunities to meet staff in all departments and within the department at all different levels.

    • Good - you can make your own networking by talking and speaking to all staff in the department.

    • Yes - advertised well, lots going on inside and outside of work to get involved in. Very good outside of work things going on

    • 100% yes - great experience, great insight into the firm and ability to gain lots of real experiences on what a career in accountancy will be like.
