The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement and meeting all of my colleagues and team members.
I felt valued by my colleagues but did feel limited in the scope of work I was given to do.
I was strongly supported by both management and by my colleagues and mentor.
I was generally kept very busy on a daily basis with the exception of a few days.
I was indeed given responsibility but I was not out of my comfort zone in terms of the level of responsibility given to me by any means.
It was an invaluable experience and I now have a greater understanding of working environments and work relationships. I have also, obviously, built on a more specific skill set of auditing and testing IT controls which I will build on even further when I take up my offer of a graduate position.
The Company
The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
It was organised to a certain extent and then improvised occasionally.
The company provided me with the necessary training to do the job.
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a graduate position.
The Culture
There was a great office party and the occasional luncheon. In general however there wasn't a massive social scene.
The cost of living was as I had expected (living on the outskirts of London) but I worked from home so it was affordable.
It was decent.
Yes, some possibilities but they weren't publicized very much to interns.
