The Role
It was a great place to work at.
Colleagues at Barclays always respected you and kept me involved in all the fun stuff as well
The management was always there to support you, and would answer any questions or difficulties I had
In the beginning not that much but once I got familiar with the systems at times it was quite busy
There were times, when I was not given that much, since there was not a lot to do. But mid internship when many of my colleagues were on holiday I was given quite a bit of responsibility.
The training helped me understand and apply what I have learnt in university as well the skills I have developed, I am able to apply on tasks that come up
The Company
The atmosphere was quite relaxing even when there was pressure to deliver.
The internship was quite structured and even though initially it did not go as planned, my supervisors were able to adapt and give me work that was in line with the initial objectives
They trained us in soft skills, and gave us opportunities to apply these during networking events.
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
We used to meet once a week for drinks, and quite a few events as a group
Since it was based in London, it was not that cheap, though we used to meet at intern houses and make the most of it then.
No one can complain about Nightlife in London
