The Role
Definitely very good.
I was working mostly independently so I didn't speak to many others.
Manager was very helpful whenever I had an issue.
Sometimes there was a lack of things to do due to IT issues but mostly I was busy
Not much responsibility, I was working on a project separate from everyone else.
Learned how to use OpenCL, which I will be using in a course this year.
The Company
Quiet, but not oppressively so. Towards the end of the day people would chat.
There were new starter events and things like that. It would have been nice to have been put on some more mailing lists by default.
They supported me in learning technologies I had not used before.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
I'm not sure, but they do hire interns as graduates apparently.
The Culture
Cambridge has crazy rent, but then I found a place on less than a week's notice.
I'm not a nightlife person so I can't really comment
Probably, I wasn't here long enough to really look at them
