The Role
GSK was a friendly, development focused company to work for, that knew the value of placement students. I had a fantastic year, working with talented and passionate people!
Not only my team, but all stakeholders made me feel welcome and valued throughout my placement.
My manager and my team were completely dedicated to developing and helping me at every opportunity. This allowed me to flourish throughout the year,
Varying amounts of workload, but you were encouraged to find work in other areas of interest.
As a GSK placement student you are trusted to own and implement all projects fully, which is not only great for your CV but will also develop essential skills.
GSK allowed me to develop my weaknesses and capitalise on my strengths - what more could you ask for from a placement year?!
The Company
We got desk at GSK so you are always next to new people who are passionate about what they do and willing to give you advise. Not a stuffy, corporate environment at all!
Great, with flexibility for you to improve it yourself for the next year,
Couldn't have asked for more
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Would love to go back - opportunities are good but difficult to get!
The Culture
With over 25 placement students on my floor, there was always someone to go out and have fun with!
What is to be expected from working and living in London. But the office is in outer london so living costs are lower
Area around work wasn't brilliant but getting into central London was a doddle.
It is what you make of it in London. Something for everyone!
