The Role
Felt really welcome from the beginning of the internship and had both interesting and rewarding work to participate in.
All colleagues very kind and keen to give feedback throughout the process. I felt like a valued member of the team in which my work and opinions were important.
I was given an extensive introduction to the company and project for the first few days which helped to establish how my role fit in to the big picture. I was given support if I asked for help but also allowed to learn on my own.
I was busy enough to feel like I was taking part in a realistic job but not so busy as to struggle excessively with the work load.
I was given a great amount of responsibility for an intern. It was incredibly rewarding to be given ownership of particular parts of the project.
During my internship I developed both technical skills, such as Excel and Powerpoint skills, to be used in both my degree and further work, and appropriate social skills for the workplace.
The Company
Due to the project-nature of consulting I didn't socialise much beyond my immediate team whilst within the office itself, but numerous evening activities were fun, interesting and gave an opportunity to network across the firm.
The internship was clearly very important to Deloitte and they made effort from beginning to end to ensure that it was effective and the interns were getting as much as they could out of the experience.
I was given the opportunity to participate in any extra training schemes that I wanted to that were available in my time doing the internship and Deloitte invested a large amount of time and resources to ensure that we could develop and learn as much as possible.

I would love to go back for the graduate scheme but don't yet know the outcome of this.
The Culture
There were numerous events organised by Deloitte to give the interns opportunity to socials with colleagues across the firm and the other interns specifically. Couldn't have asked for more.
Very expensive as the internship took place in the centre of London, but there were many events sponsored by the company in which the interns were not expected to have to pay.
The internship was in the centre of London and thus plenty of opportunity for evening socialising.
Whilst doing my internship I participated in a number of extra activities, including a Community Day at a local school and a charity company football tournament.
