The Role
The internship was really good. I interned in IB Credit Risk and learnt a lot from my manager and colleagues about technical stuff. I was in a rotation (2x4 weeks) which consists of one project type and one daily work type.
I was valued and started working from day 1 with real work. By the end, my colleagues said that I became a part of the team. They were really open and helpful even when I made mistake.
My line manager and colleagues were really supportive and even provided additional training for me
The working hour is fine about from 8.30 AM to 6.00 PM and the work was not too heavy.
I was given the objectives and jobs since the first day and carried out with support from other analyst when I got stuck.
I knew more about asset classes in financial market and applied mathematics model which was really important. My line manager taught me quite a lot about teamwork.
The Company
This was quite young office so people are really open and supportive. Genrally, the atmosphere was relaxed. They also like to socialize after work.
It was really well-structured with two types of work and a rotation. As a result, you can have a feel in different teams and choose which kind of job is more suitable to you. It was even match to my learning in university which was unexpected.
We got one week training before working including soft skills, technical knowledge and excel.
