The Role
Such a varied role, everyone was so welcoming and helpful.
most of the work i did was completely new to me so i had to ask for help for a lot of tasks.
everyone was willing to help if i had a question, including senior managers.
mainly busy, but some days there was little work to do so had to find work to do.
i was given the same amount of responsibility as a first year graduate trainee, and was surprised by the level of responsibility i was given eg, completeing sections of work individually.
so relevant to my degree in accounting. the hands on experience will be invaluable for my degree and future jobs.
The Company
everyone was so friendly and helpful, and I was taken out for meals on a number of different occasions by other staff.
I was able to have some time working on the tax department in the middle of my audit internship, and also it was organised for me to spend a day shadowing a senior manager and a senior partner.
there werent really any training opportunties as it was only a placement.
Subsidised Canteen
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare from home
I applied for a graduate position with the firm in the tax department because i loved it so much and have been offered the position.
The Culture
drinks evenings were arranged on 2 separate occasions for the interns to socialise with the rest of the office and there were also a number of team meals.
Southampton is a very expensive area to live in.
I lived at home which was a fair distance from southampton.
always sports events, bbqs, go karting and fund raising events being organised.
