The Role
Deloitte proved to be a really fun working environment. The assignments I was set were interesting and everyone made me feel very welcome.
Everything I did was followed by review and usually appreciation, so very valued.
My supervisors allowed me to ask them questions all the time and gave a lot of guidance
I was kept very busy, particularly at CRC. I often could have stayed late working if I wanted, but they made sure I didn't.
I felt that a lot of the work I was doing, whilst interesting, was not that pivotal and I was doing work that others did not want to do at times.
The skills I developed will be invaluable for my career and for my studies. Time management and working in a team are applicable skills.
The Company
Refreshingly friendly, everyone was extremely kind and it felt like a fun team to work amongst.
The internship was well organised and I always had things to do.
I had to do some online tests, but there was not that much investment in me yet. There would be if I had a full time role though.
Future employment prospects are appealing and I hope they become a possibility. It is almost October and a conversion interview is yet to be scheduled however.
The Culture
The social scene was good but fellow interns clearly all had very varying budgets and lived in varying locations.
I found it extremely high, considering the costs of transport into London as well. The bars 'on site' after work were fun but not catered towards students or interns.
Not that applicable as I would always have to take the train home long before.
Yes, I even played football for the Audit Advisory team!
