About You
I really enjoyed the everyday insight into the legal offices.
I felt really welcomed by my department, and was given a lot of advice on the work I was given when I needed it.
The guidance from the work placement staff was really good. I was checked on to see how I was doing, and also felt comfortable asking for help.
I really developed my research skills through the tasks I was given, which Im sure will be beneficial to my further studies, and it also made me realise what I wanted to do
The Company
The insight was really well structured. It was a great idea to have a talk about the work there from graduates and the ability to also have a main task for the week.
Everyone was really friendly, and there was a nice atmosphere in the department.
i was basically given a lot of research tasks, or tasks where i had to find specific guidelines for certain cases, but understandably there wasn't long term tasks that really trained me in the profession.
the work i was given didn't necessarily reflect what it would be like to have a full time role, but i for to observe what it might be like. also the time I was there (august) wasn't the best time, as the whole department wasn't busy, and a lot of people were on holiday.
It let me see the friendly environment, but also the policies in the company.
It gave me a little insight in the types of things I might do if I were to continue in the profession.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed lunch expenses which I think was adequate
There was definitely a lot of opportunity to meet not only the people in my department, but people in other departments, through lunches and talks, and generally doing work for them.
They were good, and made it easy and comfortable to ask questions.
Yes i did hear about sporting activities for example.
Yes I would it was really useful.
