The Role
Great introduction to the business area. The opportunity to work in a role similar to that of a graduate analyst has allowed me to make well informed career decisions going forward/
Very much so. Did not at any time feel like 'the intern' but as a valued member of the team.
Support from current grads, senior mentors and HR throughout the programme.
Never bored, always something to be done. However ones of the key advantages of this business area is that you don't feel pressured to work especially late or on weekends. There will be times that are particularly hectic but overall there is a very good work-life balance.
Part of the reason I felt so included as part of the team was because I was given non-trivial work.
Relating to my degree, topically not much cross over, however general working soft skills will definitely bolster my work quality in my final year.
The Company
Very open atmosphere, even senior staff felt approachable.
The internship itself was very well organised with training sessions, activities and socials.
Serval training sessions throughout the internship. Line manager very interested in supporting my personal development.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Healthcare/Dental
Really enjoyed the company atmosphere and if the previous year's graduate scheme is something to go by, I will definitely take up my job offer. Slightly lower rating due to uncertainty with the structure of the grad scheme due to current business area restructuring.
The Culture
No animosity among interns and a very strong team atmosphere. Organised many socials throughout the scheme.
No surprise, London is one of the most expensive cities to live.
Expensive, but very busy and a huge variety to choose from.
Opportunities to get involved in team sports, socials and charity work.
