The Role
I had a wonderful and fulfilling experience with Grant Thornton, with a great amount of personal development.
The culture was fantastic and everyone was extremely friendly, I quickly become a key member of the team and was given great responsibility very early on. I felt trusted and valued.
I received a great amount of support and was always able to ask any questions without feeling concerned about asking too much.
I was quite busy, but I was as busy as expected. I did not feel excessively pressured with my work and the balance was perfect.
I was made a key team member and felt well valued, given a lot of responsibility and well trusted with my work. I was not treated like someone to just dump boring tasks on, I was given varied interesting work throughout my internship.
I hugely assisted me in my knowledge of the accounting process, and I also gained a lot of professional development, particularly presentation skills.
The Company
Very positive atmosphere and everyone was always very happy.
Very well set up with a great initial induction and training, to mid term review and final interview.
There was a two day personal training development session which was a great opportunity to improve upon presentation skills. I was able to self reflect and developed greatly during my time.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Fantastic as I have got a job with them!
The Culture
Great social scene, made a great number of friends at the social events.
I remained in my university flat during my internship which is always very cheap.
Birmingham nightlife is always brilliant, with a lot of pubs and clubs to have fun in.
Huge amount of sport, social and cultural opportunities.
