The Role
The work was fun and I had enough freedom to choose what I wanted to do that I could make sure I was doing something interesting. I felt like they wanted me to enjoy myself as well as doing something useful. The general atmosphere there was also great, and there were groups of people that got together to do all sorts of non-work things.
The work I was doing was stuff that people genuinely wanted done, and they seemed to appreciate it...
I was given guidance when I needed it, but not too much.
Most of the time I was the right amount of busy, but there were a couple of weeks where I didn't have a lot to do as my work relied on information from other people.
I was the only person working on my projects.
I probably won't go into this exact line of work, but I suspect that I gained a lot of transferable skills. Hard to tell now though...
The Company
Pretty fun.
Well.
They definitely tried to make sure that I was doing interesting things that would teach me stuff, and I got a choice between projects so that I could choose what I wanted to learn.
